Robert Lesser, M.D.

Dr. Robert Lesser has over 40 years of experience as a physician in New Orleans. Dr. Lesser received his Bachelor’s Degree in Cellular Biology from Tulane, graduating Cum Laude in 1974
Dr. Lesser completed his residency in internal medicine at Tulane Hospital in internal medicine, which he completed in 1983. Dr. Lesser then worked in the Touro Hospital ER for four years, before opening his own practice 1987.
After Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Lesser evacuated to Austin, Texas, where he learned musculoskeletal pain main treatment. Between 2007 and 2011, Dr. Lesser specialized in neuromusculoskeletal pain management at a private practice in Austin. Dr. Lesser then moved back to NOLA in 2011 to rebuild his practice at CIM. He now specializes his clinic as a multi-modality pain institution, in which he integrates both physical and psychological treatments into the relief of pain.
Walter Ellis, M.D.

Dr. Walter Ellis received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Florida State University in 1994, and attended Howard University School of Medicine, where he received his Degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1999.
Dr. Ellis then trained in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center. Dr. Ellis completed a dual residency in Internal Medicine as well as Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Charity Hospital in 2005. He then trained for 18 months with the renowned Dr. April, a pioneer in modern interventional medicine.
Dr. Ellis has worked for ten years as a Board certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician, as well as a Board certified Pain Doctor. Dr. Ellis treats pain from a multilateral approach that encompasses medical alleviation as well as interventional procedures including fluoroscopically guided injections, musculoskeletal guided injections to muscular nerves, long-term nerve block RadioFrequency procedures, and injections using regenerative therapy. Dr. Ellis believes that thorough pain management should be geared to comprehensive treatment the underlying causes of pain.
Frances Marley, M.Ed., PLPC, NCC

Frances received her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education with a specialty in Clinical Mental Health from the University of New Orleans. She is a counselor and educator and helps our patients who are facing chronic pain develop lifestyle changes for optimal physical and emotional comfort. She is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and is currently working towards full licensure in Louisiana. She is also a National Certified Counselor.
